FAQs

What is the quality of canvas giclees?

Canvas giclee reproductions are gallery quality and are also sold in brick and mortar art galleries. Reproduced from high quality, high resolution digital scans of Wendi’s originals, it’s hard to tell the difference between the two. The materials, inks and printers used are the highest quality. Stretcher bars are also made in the USA. An archival protective varnish finishes the surface. Canvas giclees are printed to order in the USA by a family owned business. Production time is 5-7 days.

What materials are used in originals?

Wendi is very selective in her choice of art materials. She uses Fredrix 11.5 ounce extra fine portrait grade canvas as her ground. Her oil paints are professional grade, highly pigmented and she avoids using colors or mediums that will change the color quality or fade over time. She uses Gamblin, Maimeri, Michael Harding and other high grade professional oil paints.

After completion, she varnishes the finished painting with Gamvar by Gamblin. This archival protective layer can be removed in the future if needed.

What is a gallery wrap?
